The R3L+ project participated in the Employment Week 2011, which took place in Brussels 23.-24. November 2011. In the course of the exhibition a series of interviews with European project actors was conducted, in order to learn about other learning cities and regions intiatives and exchange good practice.

This video shows an interview with Leena Vainio, University of Applied Sciences Hämelinna, Finland. The University currently conducts several projects related to the topic of Learning Regions, such as RECO (Regions in Collaboration for the improvement of methods promoting health and quality of life) and RUTH 3 (A course programme aiming at countrysides to find ways for new income generating activities, teaching the value of rural agricultural heritage and see it as a tool to keep rural areas viable and thus strengthens rural areas, keeping up the biodiversity in agriculture, horticulture and forestry and to keep up the genetic diversity in agriculture, horticulture and forestry).

Interview with managers of project LECIM (Learning Cities For Migrants Inclusion). The project is implemented by the Italian non-profit association CIOFS-FP, which provides vocational education and training, work-oriented services, workshops, transnational exchanges and research Italian and European-wide. The national headquarter in Rome co-ordinates 14 Local Boards and almost 80 VET centres. Adolescents, young people, women, unemployed people, migrants and prisoners are the beneficiaries of such activities.
